Drawing & Painting on the iPad

This online Zoom class gives Working Artists a comfort level for using Procreate APP on the iPad. I'll present a number of ways to speed up your creative workflow with your mobile device. This class has students using an iPad as a sketch pad, and uses a familiar, traditional approach to developing basic drawing skills. We'll cover file specifications and file sharing. Students should have a charged iPad, Apple pencil, and the APP Procreate already installed on your iPad.

These classes help you build your own Animated ADS. We cover basic Graphic Design and Illustration concepts. Students will develop logos and promotional materials to be animated in Ads. Then in the next class we cover Motion Graphics and Hand-Drawn Animation using Procreate’s “Dreams”, the animation production APP that is a powerful addition to a Graphic Designer’s toolset. After these two classes, you'll be ready to DIY your own Ad Campaign.

The Catskills Digital Arts School was founded by award-winning Artist Jeffrey Wiener, who built his career as an Art Director and Illustrator in New York as the head of Dangerous Media Productions over three decades servicing ad agencies, publishers, media companies and businesses. He now runs the digital marketing agency Young Mind Interactive managing web properties and social media for national brands, eCommerce websites, entrepreneurial clients, and educational institutions.

This has been a busy month of website development for Young Mind Interactive. Several of my clients have new projects starting, and I find myself developing 5 websites, concurrently, while managing several others' content and eCommerce operations.
|
How am I doing all of that?
All of this website management stuff got me to thinking about how long I've been building websites, and how many websites I've built and managed since start of the World Wide Web back in 1993. And how much things have changed since those days when you could only make a website with three tools: the Photoshop image editing app, the Netscape browser, and basic HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) which you had to code by hand.

Now there are uncountable tools and platforms for developing websites. There's even AI-assistants who can build all of this for you on those same platforms. And it's gotten quite easy, compared to the old days, of course. Websites that used to take months (and years!) to build, now take minutes. But you still need a state-of-mind in order to manage these digital tasks. There's a certain type of ZEN you need to master in order to keep all of these moving parts in focus.
